I want to share some tips I saw online for people who are or want to be business owners. They are common stuff that every business owner should always know. I believe most entrepreneurs already know about it, but those who don't, this is for you.

Surround yourself with knowledge and experience
If you want to be the best, you need to keep the best company. Get the best people you can afford to work with. Surround your self with people with in-depth knowledge and experience in the given field. A good business owner is often created by the people they surround themselves with.
Don't try to do it all
Learn how to delegate. Business owners sometimes want to show others they are capable , and so take up all "big"responsibilities.Sometimes, it is to save money. Other times, business owners feel nobody else can do the job better than them. When you don't believe your employers are good enough, they always leave the job undone so you come and finish it off.
Get your hands dirty
Unlike the previous point,some business owners believe once they've built the company and put people in charge, the job is done. Some business believe it's everyone else's job to keep the company running. They don't partake in the daily affairs of the company, as they believe they are way too high up the ladder. There's no loyalty when one day, you come down and start telling everyone what they've been doing wrong.
Staff need to buy into the vision
Your need to make your staff see your vision for the company and what they have to do to get the company there. You need to command the respect of your staff as a business owner. You need to be a leader that strikes alliances and partnerships that will push your company towards your goal.
Focus on driving the business forward.
Many people equate activity with success. Once they've got things doing throughout the day, it means the day has been a success. As a business owner, you need to set your priorities straight. You need to know what is important and focus on what is really going to make a difference.Know what will drive the company forward and strategies on creating shareholder value.
Be the master of numerous talents
A good business owner has to be a master of numerous talents if your business will be a success. You need to be a leader- an inspiring, visionary and innovative leader. Whenever you are needed in any position, you must be ready to deliver.
