6 of the 7 major Hollywood studios: Fox, Paramount, Lionsgate, Sony, Warner Bros. and Universal now are in intensive talks on future relations with the big cinema chains like Regal and AMC.
Another possibility for survival, according to many filmmakers, is to reduce the time between showing pictures in cinemas and transfer them to home use. Now the waiting period between when you can watch a movie in the cinema and home, is approximately three months.
On the subject held multi-million dollar research, but to find the most optimal duration has not yet succeeded. Chains relate to this plan negatively because the audience, of course, prefer movies viewing at home.
