The Government Plan

Greetings, citizens. I am here with an important message from your government detailing our plans to resolve various problems in the world. Clearly, something must be done about these problems. We are doing something. Therefore, we are doing what must be done to address the problems. Here is our simple 3-step program:

Keep taxing, imposing new laws, and committing violence against peaceful people.
Wait for the remnants of the free market and civil society to fix the problem.
If 2, take credit. Otherwise, repeat 1.

Remember to keep voting, pay your taxes, and obey the law! It's your duty because you live in the territory we rule. Only in total, unquestioning obedience to us can you be served by us.
