Today I'm sharing some of the beautiful glass bottles I recently listed for sale online. Most aren't worth anything much, with the exception of the L Rose & Co Leith orange/lime juice bottle, but I find old hand made glass compellingly beautiful. I love the bubbles, and the asymmetry! I was also fortunate in that some of the bottles were marked by the previous owner, making my job so much easier!
This is a commemorative bottle made when a local glass works factory closed.
This is probably the most valuable bottle. I listed it for R250 ($18), but I've seen they sell for over R400 ($29). We don't attend specialist auctions, we literally find our treasures among the junk! All these bottles probably only cost us R50 ($4) in total.
