Auction Finds - Not Mondayish!
Monday's edition of "auction finds" is anything but Mondayish! They are so interesting and with a little imagination can transport you to another time. Very often, when I hold an object in my hands, I imagine all the times it has been handled, and by all the different hands. Was it loved, did it languish in a hidden corner or a box, was it sentimental, or, or, or....!
These brass binoculars were used in WWII. I listed them for R250 ($19) and received a bid on them almost immediately.

This ceramic advertising piece was made in England and I can just imagine it on a pub shelf.
This delightful pepper cellar was made in Occupied Japan.
