Thoughts on social media and comparing to Golos
Lying in bed this morning, trying to ignore the dogs whining to go outside, I had some thoughts on social media.
I get a lot of ideas at this time of the day, as I come out of my dreams. I began to contemplate how much I enjoyed the intimacy of social media. It is the insight into other peoples personal and semi-private lives that I enjoy.
Sometimes social media is used as a way of pushing agendas. I tend to put blinders on when it becomes a shouting match. I enjoy the window into peoples lives, so I can begin to see life through their eyes. When people share life from their perspective, that scratches the itch for me.
The way Golos is structured is more suited to blogging than social media.
In social media we can create communities that keep out the 'riff raff'. We can cultivate a community of supportive participants.
Blogging is a different animal. I've never really wrapped my head around what blogging is.
