Movies that I watch

In the beginning of year 2018, being afraid that things like Filecoin may take over and people will stop seeding over Bittorrent for free, I decided to make a selection of motion pictures from the database of rutracker.org to learn more about human languages and cultures that I study.

I’ve conducted my search manually and chose movies that had original soundtrack, been released after 2000, were educative, entertaining and non violent. So these are mostly documentaries, comedies and family films.

When I find some especially interesting studio, director or actor, I look for their previous work and add it to this list, which I maintain so as not to download content twice, but as national ISP of Uzbekistan is slowly increasing bandwidth, I will probably switch to some video streaming service with multiple subtitles support and won’t need it anymore.

There is a little more than one gigabyte per hour of video, and although I don’t have much time to watch it, I fast-forward a lot and have already watched around 2 terabytes out of 5.
