About @coinbank and its dubious behavior
Two months ago, @coinbank joined the Golos platform and acquired a lot of GOLOS tokens. It is currently one the biggest investor at the 5th position.
A first uninformative post.
@coinbank first post was published two weeks ago. In this post, we do not learn much about the person(s) who is(are) behind this account and the mentioned project(s).
For those who do not understand English, here is a translation of the content of this post:
We are waiting for Hardfork 17 to move forward with our business! How patient do we have to be?
Delegation is a functionality of many investors waiting for. Communication has failed to give an accurate date for HF17 to become a reality. We are a patient company, but our investors would like to know an ETA for HF17 to be activated so GOLOS can move forward and we can move forward.
We support great ideas & delegate GP to for-profit projects when that becomes available. If you have a great project that needs GP to become profitable, we might be interested in investing in it in full transparency with fast dividends paid on daily or weekly basis. We do not support non-profit projects or stupid ideas that will never make us ROI.
On the other hand, the tone is given: the people behind @coinbank are eager to see the next hardfork deployed (on this point I fully join them), want to make profit ... and quickly!
Up to here, I do not find much to complain about, even if, philosophically, I think that participation in a social platform with a strictly financial target may not be the best choice.
Anyway, let’s welcome investors who wish to support the Golos project and the derivative projects.
A rather dubious second post
Three days ago @coinbank published its second post.
In this post, @coinbank initiated a “free money party”: anyone who comments on the post will receive a vote from @coinbank (and the GP and GBG coming with)
All of this with another “enticing” promise: follow me and you will receive more important upvotes later.
Personally, I call this kind of behaviour “to be a whore” to gain notoriety, but once again, as prostitution has been legalized (at least in my country), I should not complain as it is clearly in line with @coinbank announced intention of make profit.
A small note: This post got an incredible success, although it is written in English. When I see this, I really wonder why I break my ass at translating my posts and trying to communicate with you all in Russian. I offer 100 GBG to the one that gives me the best answer (me being my own jury).
Promise kept? NO!
In the global euphoria, 563 people made a comment on the post.
But the party did not take place in the same way for everyone
Only the first 151 comments received a vote from @coinbank (barely 27%). Such a shame.
Why? because @coinbank started to exhaust its voting power.
Where do you think the money came from thanks to the @coinbank upvotes. Think a bit about it ...
Distributed money was taken from the Reward Pool, which is the fund used to remunerate authors for their quality articles (or comments). It did not came generously from @coinbank’s overloaded wallet.
So, @coinbank simply distributed money that was already ours, seizing the opportunity to get a bit more since everyone voted for its post.
He even pocketed an extra part of the cake as each one of its vote on a commenta also brought a curation payout.
I do not know what you think, but I find that kind of behavior rather dubious.
Unsatisfied? Shut your mouth!
Icing on the cake: people who felt wronged and who wished to react were brutally handed over to their place.
Let’s look at @naminuktu’s case. Our brave man, a bit disappointed not to have received a vote for his comment, expresses his disapproval with a flag.
Prenons le cas de @naminuktu. Notre brave homme, un peu déçu de ne pas avoir reçu un vote pour son commentaire, exprime sa désapprobation avec un flag.
@coinbank's reaction will be final. On the next post from @naminuktu, we saw this:
If you want to have a translation of this message, you can read the funny and synthetical post from @html.
Even more cynical is that @coinbank voted for its own comment, to pocket 188 additional rubles (and more if I had not put a flag)
Result: despite an impressive score of 400 votes, the post of @naminuktu generated 0 payout!
I immediately responded to this reaction which I qualify as unacceptable:
I am a resistant
I know that @coinbank voted for my delegate and that I will go down the ranking if it withdraws its vote. But I don’t care.
I know @coinbank can start putting flags on all my posts and ruining some of my rewards. But I do not care.
The one thing he can not do, even with all its money, is to harm my reputation.
Because in a flag war, he will lose for sure against me on the reputation field. And reputation, one can not buy it!
Peace
Dear @coinbank, I do not know who you really are, and I really want to.
Your arrival as an investor on the platform is welcome. But the your current behavior is not.
I will to firmly oppose to any form of scam or dictatorship from people using the power of money.
If your current behavior style is your code of conduct, then I would prefer to see you to invest your money elsewhere.
If you are someone smart, you should know that Win-Win situations are the preferred one for a long term mutual profit. If such are your intentions, and if you can prove it to us, then you will have all my support.
Peace!
PS: @naminuktu, I will transfer 250 GBG to your account. This is my humble participation to compensate for the losses that you suffered.
