Travel to Beijing

Beijing, although the city of communists, was a capitalist boom in recent years and all the trappings of new wealth is found in the city: smart phones, huge shopping malls, expensive cars. It has bright lights, wide roads and flyovers, modern comforts of a 21st century metropolis but at the same time, Beijing is based on a tradition. Remove from the packaging and see genuine signs China: tai chi, quiet gardens, birds chirping, flowers and gentle music. For most tourists, Beijing is the ideal place in which to spend several days - many of the popular attractions of the country, such as the Great Wall in Beijing are easily accessible and located right in the city.

Start with Tiananmen, unforgettable scene of the largest popular movements in China. Next on the agenda is the stunning Forbidden City, Imperial Palace full of mystery and political intrigue. Besides its gardens where people are practicing tai chi in misty mornings. Stroll through the beautiful Summer Palace and the imperial park of 290 hectares, full of hills, lakes, trees and flowers. Or get out of town and go to the Badaling section of the Great Wall closest to the capital.

There are many things to see and do in Beijing. You can buy silk or painted pottery, you can relax in a tea house with a cup of Chinese tea, or you can walk on a busy street, admiring the sounds, scents and scenery of this fascinating city. Educate yourself in an art gallery or a show of Beijing Opera or move to a disco elegance.

Lama Temple is one of the largest complex in China. It was a palace but was changed into a temple in 1744. On entering the temple Buddha statue greets you deaspra which is written "If the heart is light, extraordinary will appear"

The complex houses several rooms but most impressive is Wanfu Pavilion, which was built around a huge statue of Buddha Maitreya. The statue is 17 meters high plus another 6 meters below ground and was carved from a single block of sandalwood.

Behind the temple is a collection of Tibetan objects from the Qing Dynasty.

Lama Temple was often associated with strange and mysterious happenings. It is said that many visitors have disappeared after visiting the temple there even rumors of human sacrifices.

Tiananmen Square

It is said that Tiananmen is the largest in the world, and you feel that since you see. It was so full of people that I need to do my elbows place among them. And many have not yet passed the queues at security scanners placed at each entrance that would be even more exciting.

The Great Wall

Conclusion in the night:

Beijing has some charm. With a history so old it was impossible to not be anything left. Sensations in the first day when I walked through the center and narrow streets contrasted strongly with the crowd. Beijing is one of the largest cities in the most populous country in the world and is full of people.

Even deserves some appreciation that these conditions do not succumb and becomes impractical. But even with expectations set correctly, I could not sidestep the feeling that, in the rush to become a modern metropolis and organized, this city has lost a part of your soul and the atmosphere. It's a shame to come to China and not see vestiges of the imperial period in the capital, but to put this city on the list is rational and not emotional one.
