It is always hard to restrict yourself from something you got accustomed so much. Joy and pleasure lose their meaning and sence if in abundance. Restriction is probably one of the best lessons you can give yourself. Besides of 'being free of charge', such lesson will teach you to strive for something bigger and better with more effort than you usually put in, thus the results of hard work will pay better.
