English-speaking tour guide in Moscow – an abstract from an interview of Alex Markovich.

I’ve been mixing with foreigners coming to Russia since 1993. I was 14 when I had a chance to translate for my first, so-called, delegation from the USA. Since then I traveled length and breadth of Mother Russia interpreting for specialists from the UK and US.
For some period of time I accompanied the visitors from the USA as a tour guide. I am not talking about the type of tour guides working in the Tretyakov Gallery or Russian Museum. I call myself an off-beat guide – the places we visited related to rural Russia.
Of course, many guests coming to Russia look for an English-speaking tour guide in Moscow, and I can be one of them, but my preference is rural area.
I am familiar with lots of sights and can even make a tour (through Moscow and to other places), but I am more into so-called personal relationship with a guest – when we can go to a Russian village, forest, river, lake, take photos at haystacks, make campfire, etc.
But anyway, if somebody is looking for a conventional English-speaking tour guide in Moscow, I can be of help.
