The Dream: the concluding part.
Hi everyone, am not so good in fiction writing and story telling but I was inspired by @mosunomotunde writeups and decided I was going to start writing stories. This is the continuation of the dream.
The early of the morning of the first day at work seems boring for Mr. Martin's still in his dream, just a quick reminder as we continue the story. No one seems want to buy children's book for that day and Mr. Martin's decided that he would get busy if no one wants to turn up. He thought to write a story about something and as he was thinking of the kind of story, a title pop up in his mind "The fall of a great artist" But just as he scribbled down the first paragraph, here comes his first customer. A little boy with his mother want to buy story book.
Mr Martins was impressed at the will of the boy to read books as he practically dragged his mother to the book store to buy story book for him. Unfortunately, the money they came with was not enough to buy the story book he wanted. Mr Martins saw how disappointed the boy looked; now they have to go and come back much later to buy the book. As they were about to step out of the store, "you can have the book said Mr. Martins said to the boy and the mother and I will pay the amount that will complete the payment.
The boy was full of joy, his heart was filled with joy and left the store happily. The next day early in the morning, Mr. Martins was surprised to see quite a lot of kids in the store wanting to buy story books. Apparently, the boy had gone to his school to tell his friends about the store and how Mr. Martins had helped him even the mother of the boy also told some of her friends about Mr. Martins at the book store which led to the first week of the job so fruitful with so much sales. The director commended Mr. Martins and then told him, he will become a great salesman one day. Then he woke up from sleep and realized everything had happen was not real, turned to his wife who was also in deep sleep and woke her up.
Sweetheart, love dovey, my love, please sit up, said Mr. Martins with his wife struggling to sit up. I had a dream! What is it this time? asked his wife. I think the dream is trying to communicate a vital message to me. Mr. Martins narrated the story to his wife who is now fully awake and concluded he will like to open a book store, start selling books stilling thinking about the director's speech of becoming a great salesman one day. The word of the director from the dream had stirred him up and want to become a great salesman. His wife pointed his attention to the fact that, it is expensive to rent a bookstore and judging from another fact that the are managing from the little they have at their disposal presently.
He then told his wife, he will like to start selling book from home and since they have great collection of books under the bed, under the chair, several book shelves, it seems like a good idea to start from there and was appealing to his wife since there is no job out there and to start a business seems a good option as of the moment. "I know I have less resources, I just need to make good use of the current resources we have, I will be making money then I can expand the business beyond the house, Mr. Martins explain further to his wife."
Mr. Martins started out by printing flyers to create awareness and draw attention to his new book store with customers coming in everyday. He began to sell from his house, using his personal book shelves to display books and also creating a friendly and warm environment and within a short period of time, Mr. Martins bookstore became popular and grew so well that people prefer to buy in his book store even from far and wide. He continues to expand the business, bought car and move to a new apartment with his family. He was happy to drive his son to school every morning and later after school to the house. He continue to expand his business and lived happily ever after.
