Coinbase CEO proposes a broker form for tax purposes

Following the order (subpoena) to disclose records on all U.S. customers sent to Coinbase digital asset exchange on 30 November 2016, Brian Armstrong, CEO at Coinbase, proposed to implement a third party reporting mechanism in order to increase tax compliance. The exchange would provide the customer and the tax administration with a summary of gains or losses on trading activity.
