Cartesi A Linux Infrastructure for Scalable DApps
Introduction
The development of our society always shows the direction in which we will all move in the coming decades. This trend is very visible throughout the historical period, regardless of geographical and national origin. However, no matter how hard we try, we are only united by one thing, moving forward towards new technology.
The same is true for one of the most popular technologies in our time is the Blockchain technology. Of course, many are trying to deny the fact that this technology is able to qualitatively replace a large number of instruments, and give them a new, transparent and safe life that is more reliable. Others, aware of this fact, are trying to adapt this technology to their business, making it better and more accessible throughout the planet.
About the Project
Blockchain is full of unrealized potential. We have all heard promises: a fully decentralized web, the return of autonomy and privacy to users, an unreliable framework for the Internet of Things. But the reality is dramatically different. Lack of technical infrastructure has limited the power of DApps and made us go the slow and frustrating path of adoption.
DApps that are fully used on the blockchain are very inefficient and limited when compared to even the everyday applications we use on devices that are small enough to fit into our pockets. Efficiency only comes at the cost of centralization.
In many ways, the evolution of games seems to mimic the separation of computers before the Internet. Before people fully understand the impact of interconnected global networks, what exists is a set of intermittent and disconnected personal computers and mainframes. Before technological advancements such as ARPANET and TCP / IP, computers were running independently, unable to communicate with larger networks. Just like computers that sat isolated and alone before the Internet, games today are also isolated.
Cartesi brings all the tools and capabilities available in modern operating systems to a decentralized web. This is a real and complete Linux OS that skyrockets decentralized application capabilities without sacrificing blockchain security guarantees.
Cartesi makes it easy to create decentralized application code that appeals to its users as the main Web application. Linux + Blockchain = our future decentralized web.
The advantage
Cartesi may be a decentralized and scalable Linux infrastructure which will solve a drag of computing scalability and development infrastructure for decentralized web. With Cartesi, Blockchain applications can be encoded with the broad domain heap of main software available today. The application can run without chains, with a strong guarantee of security from the blockchain, but is free from calculation limits and high costs.
The Cartesi team has now released and opened Cartesi Core sourced as specified in our techpaper (except for the DAG feature). With this milestone, we have achieved Verifiability, which means that large calculations can be decided for the truth on the blockchain at a cost that can be ignored, in a safe and decentralized way. Cartesi Core is available as an open source on Github.

Cartesi will publish and maintain an open source SDK for the world to use. Create your own decentralized applications
without knowledge of blockchain languages and deploy them to the growing network of Cartesi Nodes.
