Verdict? - 19 year old girl from Bangladesh burned to death for reporting sexual harassment by a school headmaster

Nusrat Jahan Rafi was doused with kerosene and set on fire at her school in Bangladesh. Less than two weeks earlier, she had filed a sexual harassment complaint against her headmaster.

Course of events

27 March - Nusrat Jahan Rafi reported a sexual harassment to the police officer who recorded her statement which then he leaked on social media, a group of students organized a protest after arrest of the school headmaster.

6 April - Nusrat Jahan Rafi returned to school to sit her finals, but then she was misled to the school's roof by her alleged "friend", and burnt by the group of people demanding from her to withdraw her accusations against the abusing headmaster.

10 April - she died in the hospital from the consequences of the severe burns.

Police have since arrested 15 people, seven of them allegedly involved in the murder.
