Loyalty platform on blockchain
Blockchain technology, with their trusted environment, that is secure, immutable and transparent, can be applied to many areas of our lives, and developers are proposing daily new projects that could affect out way of living, and change it to better eventually.
In the actual moment, there is a lot of projects that are focused on crypto currencies and exchanges, since that is seen as primary problem for mass adoption of crypto currencies, because crypto is not easy to buy and hold, and banks are not in play. One of the solutions for this problem is proposed by Facebook, their crypto Libra will be introduced to their users, and that could be a breakthrough in number of crypto users. On the other hand, there are projects that use blockchain for everyday purposes that are not transparent in a way user want it to be, and not interconnected between different companies.
Smathium is proposing blockchain for Loyalty programs, to overcome two of their main issues, first is low rewards and second is low connectivity between loyalty programs from different companies. Smathium proposal includes open reward structure, sufficient and differentiated reward system, sustainable marketing for the company and provision of sales increase effect and improved security and transparency with blockchain technology.
Smathium ecosystem will be deployed with interconnection facility that will introduce brands are their loyalty systems to new users and provide users with a list of loyalty systems that can be used by the system. Direct usage of SMT tokens with companies is supported, as well as usage through facility, so that loyalty points could be used with all companies that offer loyalty programs. Companies will have API for interconnection of their loyalty programs to the general ecosystem. Both on-chain and off-chain transactions will be provided by the system. Off-chain transaction will allow for decrease of necessary Gas amount for transactions, that will increase the part of loyalty reward received by the customer.
Smathium business strategy includes activation of the platform, as first step of development stage, with plan to increase number of users on both sides, as loyalty programs by companies and users of loyalty programs, charged advertising service based on number of users that are on the platform, or within the reach of Smathium application, which will create profit revenue for Smathium. When reach sufficient number of users on the platform, third party application developers will be introduced to broad services, and provide better quality verification for loyalty programs.
Platform usage fee is introduced through interconnection facility, or Loyal factory, and will be paid in GAS fee, as transaction fee, for using of the platform.
Regarding token economy, maximum number of tokens is 10 billion, with vesting period from 6 months for Investors to 24 months maximum for Smathium team. Planned amount for rewards is 30%, or 3 billion tokens. Based on a total number of tokens, and token price, initial project value is estimated on 60 million USD.
Roadmap initiated in whitepaper present plan until Q2 2020, and includes launch of Loyal factory rev2.0, as well as start of development for additional modules on the platform.
