[Now Reading] The Life and Extraordinary Adventures of Private Ivan Chonkin and Pretender to the Throne: The Further Adventures of Private Ivan Chonkin by Vladimir Voinovich

After reading the intriguing book Moscow 2042  written by the Russan writer Vladimir Nikolayevich Voinovich I decided to read more of his books. They are humorous and sound familiar since the Russian soul feels close to Slovenian.

Today I borrowed from the local library following two books, both in Slovenian language.

• The Life and Extraordinary Adventures of Private Ivan Chonkin
•  Pretender to the Throne: The Further Adventures of Private Ivan Chonkin

They were first published in 1969 and 1979. Slovenian editions were published in 1985 and 1986. So these books are quite old by today's standards.

I am looking forward to reading them both in one go. Which for me means every night the last activity before falling asleep.
