How Smartlands Scammed Me

Before telling the story I need to point some things.

  1. A year ago I took part in many bounties, first of all, to better understand the market. While the percentage of scam was may be around 15-30% it's still not 90% as some people like to repeat the overused phrase that "90% of ICOs are scam". Many other projects paid their tokens even though tokens do not cost much now, but we know that ICO brings high risks.
  2. I don't state that Smartlands are scam, as I know they paid some people who took part in bounty. That's even worse to be in the number of "losers" so it means somebody probably took my tokens..
  3. I wouldn't write this article if not rude Smartlands' employees behavior, who not only ignored me, but banned from Telegram for just asking question.

While some companies state something like "we consider our bounty participants as investors", Smartlands show how not to do it. As from supporter I turned to "hater" but I was waiting long time for their response but got none, the only thing I received was ban on facebook.

I'm not influencer in crypto world, but I have some thousands of crypto followers on Steemit, Twitter and other social networks. Only 1 e-mail response something like "We are sorry, you are unbanned on telegram, we can't send you tokens for ... reason, but we are happy that you use our wallet" would save my time from writing this post and I would be at least neutral towards this company..

So that's how it started - I took part in bounty and when it was over bounty participants received this e-mail:
slt1.png

Please keep in mind that no dates were indicated, they didn't provide any time-frame to claim your tokens.

For long time SLT was not listed, but in a while I'm rechecking bounties (as sometimes tokens are locked for a long period, some tokens were paid in more than half a year, or almost in a year)
So as soon as I created Stellar wallet (I created on it on Smartlands specifically) I wrote to them.

slt2.png

Yes, I understand that Smartlands (SLT) rose in price (you can check latest price here https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/smartlands/) so it is around 16.7 SLT is around $50 as I write this post and at the highest times it was around $100.

But I didn't get response and I saw that people from Bitcointalk thread didn't receive their tokens too (even though they wrote long time before me)

slt3.png

I saw that bounty thread is inactive so I wrote in ANN thread. From my experience when project is growing actively after ICO sometimes you can address community and they will speak with you. So I wrote there

And then again in a big time period

slt5.png

I was advised to contact them in telegram, so I did it and was banned.

slt6.png

I was advised to write to Victor, so I did it

slt7.png

While some people in Smartlands telegram were really friendly some time later, I discovered that I'm banned there

slt8.png

But even after that I wrote to them by e-mail and as you can see - several months passed after I wrote to them...

slt10.png

I think that's the inappropriate attitude towards customer
I don't expect neither tokens nor apology from Smartlands (although they owe me both)
I just want to show you, my friends and readers an example of how companies should not act.
Moreover, if only 1 person was scammed if only for few bucks - why not to mention it? ...
