My Day With Mtn

Went for a digital marketing workshop and wanna share with you. The workshop was organised by MTN Ghana in collaboration with Google. MTN is the biggest telecommunications in Ghana and one of tbr biggest accross Africa.

Started with the facilitator giving statistics about internet usage in Ghana. There are about 10 million internet users out of a population of 30 million and 8 million of the internet users are on social media.

He gave reasons why every business need to be online to advertise to all internet users to increase profit. Digital marketing matters because you can target specific groups, reduce market cost, analyze results and engage with customers. Unlike traditional forms of advertisements where you can't really know the number of people viewing the advertisement.

He later gave tips on how to get a brand and why it's important. To build a brand, determine your area of expertise, start publishing, have a good social media profile and network. Build a brand that's known by all.

He also spoke about registering your business online with Google my business. Talks about creating a business profile and getting Google to advertise for you. Whatever form you want to present your advertisement, Google has got you covered. There were about 80 people who came for the training. That's what I learnt guys, hope you learnt something from me.
