Queen Nanny, the Ashanti woman from Ghana who ended up as a hero in Jamaica

Today we study about Queen Nanny of Maroon, a national heroine of the people of Jamaica. She was part of the slaves carried away from the Ashanti Kingdom here in Ghana and she ended up on the 500 Jamaican Dollar bill. She fought to rescue slaves from plantations whiles in Jamaica.
