   Existing smart contracts are monitored by the Unibright Explorer. Transactions and information flow is visualized.

4. Unibright Connector
   Existing IT landscapes as well as other blockchains are integrated into the business process by the Unibright Connector.

SmartAdapter for the Unibright Connector

The Unibright Connector connects existing IT landscape with different blockchains and smart contracts, using the set of predefined Smart Adapters. The Unibright Connector allows different On- and Off-Blockchain-Systems to be connected to Unibright conformant SmartContracts, thus enabling Cross Blockchain and Cross system workflows. From a software engeneering perspective we introduced the concept of SmartAdapters to encapsulate all the technical details needed to connect to a specific blockchain, ERP system or legacy system. SmartAdapters can be added into the Unibright Connector according to the business demands — thus enabling the integration of all the needed entities of a business workflow.

Currently we are heavily using our SAP ERP-SmartAdapter and Ethereum-SmartAdapter to integrate Ethereum-based SmartContracts into programs residing inside SAP ERP Systems. The introduction of this concept allows the Unibright Connector to be future-proof and to adapt to upcoming blockchain technologies as well as newly introduced communication standards.
