A Greatest Smile | My Photo Journal
There are two adjectives people can describe Filipinos, hospitable, and happy. This was proven already with foreigners or tourists all over the world how hospitable we are to accommodate visitors. Despite the circumstances in life, we still managed to smile. That’s what makes us unique.
I encouraged them to keep dreaming and study hard for their future. Many of them want to be a teacher, police, and doctors. They shared their different stories in life. One of these is how to be happy in a simple way. This is where I believe in the saying, “Money can’t buy happiness.” This moment is a perfect time to reminisce about my childhood days.
Today’s journey, I am going to share my experience when I went to the mountain and able to meet new people. As a photographer, it is in my duty to explore and discover something that could touch the lives of every citizen. It was the afternoon when I arrived at my destination. I was setting up my tripod and cameras while waiting for sunset for me to capture the best shots. Suddenly I heard the sound of children laughing. They were playing a racing game using dumped bicycle wheels. I was amazed at how they customized it. I think it is a brilliant idea to make their own alternative toys instead of buying new expensive ones. I had a long chat with them.
I may not able to take shots of the sunset but I have these kids’ beautiful smiles. They really love to be exposed to the camera. I can hear how they giggled for excitement to see their faces. This was more than I expected. I will forever treasure these photos because it tells a wonderful story.
