At the top of Kandungaw Peak - a breathtaking adventure

Cebu city is popular with advent technologies, amazing structures, entertainment establishments that Cebuanos can enjoy with but if you will explore in the Southern part of Cebu specifically from my home town Dalaguete, which is popular in Mountain trekking and peaks you can truly witness how it is naturally made. Every individual has its own goals to achieve in different aspects of life. I felt at ease when I am on the top of Kandungaw Peak which is one of the highest Peak here in my place. It took me 45 to 60 minutes to drive before I will reach the location.

There are many lessons and realizations by traveling. It taught us more our purpose in life, appreciate what we have, and learn what makes us contented. This a perfect place to be when you want to isolate yourself from distractions. This could possibly help us to meditate and have the freedom to express our thoughts and strong emotions.

This journey was not easy because it tested my patience and sharpen my determination. My mind was covered with curiosity how does it feel like when I am in the finish line and see the spectacular scenery. I think one and a half hours is worthy to sacrifice for.

There are many advantages that I can benefit from traveling. Aside from being speechless in a beautiful environment, this can be a good exercise as well since I need to invest a lot of time walking. Sweat is an act of sweet revenge!

I am grateful during my visit to Kandungaw because I met a new friend who is my tour guide and happened as a resident in that town for years. He was quite funny yet knowledgable enough about the history of the Peak. He shared his life experiences and how he managed to deal with different nationalities as tourists in that place. He was fearless to show me the best spot to take a picture and it was breathtaking. The picture speaks itself how dangerous it is and you will end your life for a single mistake.

This was the actual aerial view from the Kandungaw Peak. It has fewer neighborhoods since its a far-flung area. Most locals here are farmers who I highly salute because they were one of the producers of vegetables in Cebu City and other neighboring provinces.

I am proud of this adventure because it completes the half part of me. I am a time spender when it comes to mountains. I always considered it as my safest place to clear up my mind.

This journey of mine is an eye-opener to all of us that instead of hatred we should live in positivity and it should start in ourselves to plan things that could help us to grow and keep on accomplishing things to make the best version of ourselves.
