Cartesi - An overview of the blockchain platform on Linux
Hello everyone, dear friends, the cryptocurrency currency blog, Hervink, is still connected. Something for a long time I did not release a review, but now I find an interesting crypto startup, which I just need to tell you.
This project is called Cartesi. The essence is to create a completely new cryptocurrency and blockchain system that will make it possible to launch decentralized applications (dApps) and smart contracts, which will have exceptional scalability and will be easily developed.
The developers want to achieve this in 2 ways (I personally identify the 2 main features of Cartesi - there are actually more) - using virtual machines built on Linux, as well as doing "heavy" calculations outside the main blockchain (off chain).
What is the use of Linux?

And all of these developers will be able to start encoding dApps to Cartesi in an environment they are familiar with, without having to learn complicated and rare programming languages from the start.
Also, the Cartesi Virtual Machine, which will handle calculations in smart contracts and dApps, is built based on the RISK V architecture, also known by many software developers.
Off-chain computing and other Cartesi "chips"
To increase network scalability, Cartesi will use off-chain computing outside the main blockchain - and only the results will be recorded on the main blockchain. This approach will greatly reduce the burden on the network, thus allowing you to run a large number of applications, and also heavier ones.
Also, Cartesi developers announce the possibility in the future to integrate other blockchain with Cartesi network and virtual machines, which will enable the creation of cross-block chain applications that do not currently exist.

Real world computation
Intensive computations require a realistic platform. Cartesi enables external computations to run on a RISC-V processor under a deterministic Linux operating system. Developers can use all the tools, libraries, and services they are already familiar with.
Portable across multiple blockchains
Smart contracts running on different blockchains can define external computations in the exact same way. This isolates complex computations from the details of specific blockchains, making them portable and providing security, immutability, and a payment system.
Guaranteed Consensus
External computations can be verified externally by all involved parties. Disputes are settled automatically by Cartesi. This requires negligible computation inside the blockchain, regardless of the size of the external computation.
The DApps Market
As we already know, the blockchain technology is one of the networks that saw to the growth of many industries around the world. The impact has been felt in the supply chain sector and continued all the way up to make the same positive impacts in the logistics industry. At the same time, the blockchain technology has been able to bolster the increase of Decentralized Applications (DApps), which were primarily domiciled on the Ethereum (ETH) blockchain before the TRON blockchain took over.
