Michael's had a sale on beads for President's Day, so I picked up a few new items. Some of them went into these projects. Ioffer my apologies for the poor quality of cell phone snapshots in bad lighting.

Left: steampunk charms on a chain. I thought the keys needed some embellishment, so I used the blue "gems" in the big key as inspiration to use blue flower cameo charms as accents.

Center: I threaded the caps and beads onto eye pins, formed new loops in the wire, and linked everything with jump rings. Some chain and a toggle clasp completed the job on this simple design.

Right: I used up the rest of my new large white beads and some more leftovers to make this eclectic odds-and-ends necklace.

Steampunk copper findings and green quartz beads make up this necklace and earrings set. I like the contrast of copper and green.

Black jasper and white quartz beads with rhinestone spacers on beading wire with stainless steel findings make up this contrast-driven necklace design.

Wintery-colored beads and snowflake charms make these seasonal earrings. I had two kinds of showflake charms, so I made two pair as an experiment. Then, I used essentially the same bead forms and techniques with some butterfly charms to make something that looks forward to spring.

Dyed druzy agate beads, more rhinestone spacers, and chain with an oil slick pattern make up this odd piece. I added a butterfly charm to the center pendant because it seemed to need an accent of some sort. I'm not sure what I think of the overall effect.

I used some cameo pendants and shoe charms to make this neo-Victorian earring set. I showed this picture of them to my boss at work as an example of the kinds of crafts I might teach in future library programs, and she wanted to buy them on the spot. Hooray for capitalism!
