English tip: As vs. Has

This is my second installment in my English writing tips series.. Even though it might be a shallow thing for people to judge you based on how you spell words, often little things like these affect us on some level. Some of you might be making these mistakes without even knowing it.

'As' is used for reasons, as in "pay your ransomware fee, as you forgot to backup." It can be used for examples, as in the sentence before this one. It can be used for comparisons as in, "a bitcoin is as valuable as an ounce of gold."

Now "as" should never be used for phrases like "The steem blockchain has been operating since last June." In this situation, we use "has" rather than "as".
