I am starting a new series of English writing tips. Even though it might be a shallow thing for people to judge you based on how you spell words, often little things like these affect us on some level. Some of you might be making these mistakes without even knowing it.
It just makes me shudder when people use 'hear' when they mean 'here' or vice versa. Remember this trick for spelling the words: You hear with your ear. Notice how the spelling 'ear' is inside of the word 'hear'? Now, 'here' is where the writer or speaker is.
