Cura Network - Future Health Care

image.png
About

Cura Network is a global decentralized health system comprising of entities collaborating and sharing data with each other to promote, restore or maintain health.

We aim to improve the healthcare universe by making use of blockchain technology to create a unified platform that will power a plethora of health services.

In the end, our goal is to integrate patients, specialists, providers and third-party app developers, into a blockchain ecosystem, which will make health transactions truly efficient, secure, explicit, fast and reliable.

VISION

Join us in the revolution to build a global decentralized health care system with a distributed blockchain that facilitates handling and sharing your data in a secure and explicit manner, having access to your records instantly. Your location is no longer a barrier to where and how you manage your health. Manage your health records seamlessly across institutions.

FEATURES

Quality Healthcare

Access to quality healthcare from vetted specialists and providers across the globe.

Privacy & Access Control

Have ownership and control over your health records. Understand and determine how your data is being shared.

Global Decentralized Identity

Each entity is given a Cura Network Identity (CNID) representing an on-chain self-sovereign identity with unique role based attributes.

Distributed Storage of Records

Cost savings in storage. High efficiency in data transfer with persistent availability. Simultaneous data delivery across multiple computers.

Third-party App Integrations

Data access layer for a plethora of existing or new health software applications.

Equitable Economy

Inbuilt monetization at the very core. Earn Curs in an equitable system for data or services shared.

Cura’s mobile client application will provide all entities with access to the Cura blockchain network and its services.

Functionalities of the application include enabling users to manage their Cura NetworkIdentity, viewing their real-time health analytics, accessing numerous health applications, granting or denying requests on data access or even managing their payments or earnings in their crypto wallet.

Users of the app have to undergo the basic KYC process by providing their credentials and all the necessary information depending on the role they will on the platform. Once this process is complete, the platform will generate a private/public and a Cura Network Identity (CNID), which will be the user’s unique identifier.

Cura has an Interplanetary File System (IPFS) that stores health records in a decentralized manner. Each time patient’s records are updated; the system takes a snapshot of record and stores it in the storage smart contract on a blockchain. The snapshots have a time series pattern on the blockchain, which makes it possible to view the history of the patient’s health data.

Data Access
Cura network features a request and approval system that ensures all entities have access to data. Patients have full ownership of their health data that can be distributed or shared with other authorized entities.

The patients have the authority to deny or grant other entities access to their full or partial health records. Third-party app developers, on the other hand, can use the Cura Network to acquire data for developing health service applications.

The Cura network is powered by the Cur cryptocurrency, which health specialists receive in exchange for the services they provide on the Cura blockchain while patients earn the cryptocurrency by participating in provider’s research campaigns.

Connecting to Cura Network Connecting to Cura Network — Entities will primarily have access to our blockchain network via our mobile client application protected by fingerprint lock on mainstream smartphone platforms. During initialization of the mobile application, the user will be taken through a basic KYC process requiring verifiable credentials and extras depending on the intended role of the entity (Patient, Specialist, or App Developer). A private/public key pair will be generated alongside a global Cura Network Identity (CNID). All operations ranging from permissions and role management to API key request for a new app by a developer, will be managed within Cura Network’s mobile application.

Identities — Each entity on the network will have a unique on-chain self-sovereign identity with unique role based attributes. To create a self-sovereign digital identity, an entity is given a Cura Network Identity (CNID) which is a unique digital identifier along with a cryptographic public/private key pair managed by our mobile client. The CNID is a prefixed hash of the public key on our distributed blockchain

Interaction Between Entities — Cura Network will feature a request/approval system to data access across all entities. Hence, interaction between entities on a base level borders around read/write operations that either broadcast new snapshots or retrieve health data on the network. Further social interactions could be achieved in multiple ways by health applications powered by the network.

Conducting a Transaction — Conducting a Transaction — A transaction is a write operation to the blockchain which is signed by the private key of a user with a valid CNID. A transaction is broadcasted to the network, processed by block producers, and if valid, is published on the blockchain. Only specialists can change the state of health records of patients

Storage of Health Records — We can achieve decentralized storage of health records by leveraging the InterPlanetary File System (IPFS). IPFS is a peer-to-peer distributed file system that seeks to connect all computing devices with the same system of files. A snapshot is taken and stored immutably in the storage smart contract on a blockchain each time a patient’s record is updated during a permissioned session. Each snapshot holds the IPFS hash identifier of the hosted health data. By maintaining snapshots in a time series pattern on our blockchain, we have a versioned history of changes in a patient’s health data.
