THE ROAD TO SUCCESS

Success is a desired destination,
But the road to success takes one on a journey,
Sometimes filled with good and memorable adventures,
But oftentimes tantamount to a treasure hunting adventure,
Characterised with challenges and dangers unknown,
Some mental with some degree of frustration,
Some physical and highly demanding,
And some others spiritual and bizarre.

Though thoughts of failure and quitting may arise,
They are only there to test our faith,
And with the slightest of hope and the will to succeed;
With the encouragement from friends and the families we have;
And with life experiences gained and the lessons derived,
The hero in us comes alive.

Then with a strong determination and our resilient spirit
We persevere knowing that a beautiful destination lies ahead.
For the journey to success is never an easy one,
But for the end justifies it all,
Leaving us with a lasting happiness,
And a satisfaction that we conquered.
