Milestone passed as one in 10 new cars sold in Britain is electric

Sales of electric cars hit a new record in October
In total 143,251 new cars were registered in October, according to industry figures - with 9.9pc or 14,231 either battery powered or a hybrid. This is a new record for the UK and up from 6.9pc a year earlier.
