Seablue Journal: I've been missing journaling.

Journaling is probably the most valuable habit that I have developed in the last five years. In 2012, the year after I first arrived in the United States, my life was beginning to change dramatically for the better. Part of that process was coming into contact with the words of Jim Rohn, an old school motivational and self improvement guru.

Jim Rohn encouraged all his listeners to write down everything that they experience and imagine on a daily basis. How many times have you had an idea that you have forgotten the next day?

So I began to write a daily journal in 2012 and I've continued to do so to this very day. The last year has been a struggle to write, but I kept coming back to it. Sometimes I wouldn't write for a month or two. I knew that I needed to keep going though. What would inspire me the most was when I would go back and read my old journal entries. It was amazing to compare and contrast my present experience with my experience of the past. The insight I gain into my own psychology was invaluable.

I've journaled about my gratitude for life. I've recorded my dreams. I've recorded my thoughts on relationships with family and friends. I stuck a resignation letter in one journal. I've glued movie tickets, sporting events, cigar bands and curiousities like a playing card I received from a haunted house actor I visited in the Fall of 2014.

My journals have become one of my greatest treasures. So I've come back to journal a little on my Golos journal, 'Seablue Journal'. I hope you will enjoy reading some of them. I hope you enjoy another fractal too.
