[Marijuana Legalisation] - Canadian Announcement - Week of 10th April 2017
Quick update on Marijuana legalisation in Canada as a major announcement on official legalisation is due this week.
This industry is moving fast and I feel there are some great opportunities ahead for those interested in investing as I have.

CANADIAN GOVERNMENT QUOTE:
"The Liberal government will announce legislation next month that will legalize marijuana in Canada by July 1, 2018.
CBC News has learned that the legislation will be announced during the week of April 10 and will broadly follow the recommendation of a federally appointed task force that was chaired by former liberal Justice Minister Anne McLellan.
It was necessary to "legalize, regulate and restrict access to marijuana" in order to keep drugs "out of the hands of children, and the profits out of the hands of criminals."
The Liberals had promised to introduce legislation by the Spring of 2017. Announcing the legislation the week of April 10 will allow the party to hit that deadline."
The Canadian government announced last week that it was moving the date forward for the official announcement for marijuana legalisation and that has now been scheduled for the week of April 10th 2017.
If full-scale legalisation were to happen, it would open up millions of new customers, new opportunities and huge revenues to Canada’s already solid marijuana market.
It is predicted that the market could be worth a massive $22.6 billion and that was only speculative at the time of the elections and I feel it will be worth a lot more than this due to various other markets opportunities becoming available.
- There are the growers and producers that provide the actual plants.
- There are the cutting-edge medical companies that provide crucial marijuana-based medicine to treat everything from anxiety to epilepsy to cancer pain.
- There are the auxiliary "picks and shovels" companies like grow light producers, fertiliser companies, testing companies, warehouses, and social media companies.
There are numerous US stocks that I am also looking at however have not listed them here as I am yet to invest and I am still researching them.
I am however personally invested in Australian Marijuana stocks and most of these companies are aligned with Canadian distribution and supply and are involved in different aspects of the production.
