THE HISTORY OF INTERNET WEB BROWSERS

There has been a significant change in the way we browsed the internet nowadays compared to some years ago. Currently we are in the era of steady, digital innovation.Every internet users know the basic functionality of the internet browser, we know it's what links us to everything we want on the web. Technically, web browser is the software application which gathers information from the server such as videos, images, text, webpages, and more. It links you to multiple places, which allows users to play games online, watching videos, shopping, and many more services which I can't mention. Every internet users know there are various numbers of browsers in which users have to download their favorite choice due to some factors. We all know different browsers response can be quite different to websites. It will be good to mention about the history of these internet browsers and their development. Far back as at 1990's some internet browsers have existed but not any more in existence .in the year 1990, W3C Director named Tim Berners Lee created the WorldWideWeb which is different from the World Wide Web, we don't have to mix this up.

Later he renamed it to Nexus in other to differentiate it from the actual World Wide Web.World Wide Web till today is the only Gateway to access the web. In the year 1992 Lynx browser was developed which happened to be the text-based web browser, it has limited functions, it can't display graphics, it can only display texts. In 1993 Mosaic browser was developed, this browser was very popular because it has a capacity of displaying both text and graphics. In 1994, there came a Netscape Navigator, which is an improvement to the Mosaic browser. In 1995, the internet explorer web browser came into existence it was created by Microsoft.Up till now
, internet explorer is still in existence and used by so many internet users. Opera started their own research in 1994 and lunched their web browsers in 1996, opera browsers are still in existence. In the year 2003 Apples company released their own browsers named Safari while in 2004 Mozilla launched their Firefox .2007 , Mobile Safari launched Apples mobile web browser which up till date have dominated the iOS market. In the year 2018, Google chrome surfaced and took complete control of the browsers market while in 2011 Opera mini got released for the fast-growing mobile browser market. In 2015, Microsoft Edge was created to combat the Google chrome.
