CAN WE BE KIND TO PEOPLE WE HATE WHO WILL DO ANYTHING TO SEE US FALL

If we can be kind to people we hate, to what extent should we be?
Take for example that you're in a track and field team with someone who has been verbally abusing you, and you're second to him in performance making him the candidate who will represent your state in a coming competition by the end of the month
The trial to select the state's representative is in 2 weeks time and your abusive fellow just had a knee injury which will stop him from the trials or even if he could treat it, he wouldn't be able to perform fully. You happens to know how to heal such injury which will bring him back to the track in full form
Tell me, will you heal him before or after the trial? Or will you let him be?
