HOW CAN I BE LESS WRONG?
Every Sunday in church, listening to my pastor. I admire the way he always know and have something to say.
In a bid to be listened to and respected, sometimes I find talking and doing things to impress the people around me, most of the times, it turns out that the people I am trying to impress ended up to be unimpressed, rather, they lose what little respect they have for me
One evening, I was told by my uncle that I am almost always on the wrong side because I don't follow some unwritten rules, which are Talk less, Listen more, and Act carefully.
TALK LESS: The urge to always say what we have on mind is a natural instinct we must do our best to suppress. Sometimes, what we think is the right thing to say might not be the right thing our audience wants to hear, so, we must study our audience before we address them. Studying our audience will cause us to be saying less, but to almost always be on the right side.
LISTEN MORE: This is synonymous to learning, because we learn by listening, observation and practicing. Listening more will give us more knowledge thereby making us to be saying knowledgeable things that will benefit our audience.
ACT CAREFULLY: Look before you leap is a common that is full of knowledge. By looking before we leap,we can know the extent to which we need to leap or need not leap in the first place. By acting carefully, we are bound to almost always have the best result of our actions, and being someone with many right actions, wise sayings and a good listening ability will earn us the admiration and respect of the public
