- Sure, but if they are going to do this the correct way, we should have a STEEM advisor from the Steemit Team to give the step by step instructions to get from where we are now and to 19.2 so we are at par with STEEM and instead of putting in Bitshares OpenLedger, wait for the SMT system to be finished so that GOLOS at least have a token system that is compatible with Bitcoin and Litecoin Segwit Payment Channels so we can get Bitcoiners in here and trade on our dex without using go-between-tokens.
The Bitshares/OpenLedger implementation is not compatible with anything important, and exchanges like Bittrex & Poloniex will never accept any of these tokens. With the SMT system GOLOS can become not only a nice DEX with great tokens, but also be part of the Payment Channels that will open us up for the world to come to GOLOS and trade with their Bitcoins right here where we are. Then we become like a decentralized Bittrex that can do massive volumes of trading. We wont get liquidity if we go with OpenLedger implementation we will get stuck with a bad product we wont get rid of. We can do the PowerDelegation without changing the exponential reward-curve to a linear curve, but then a whale can just split his power between 20 accounts and vacuum the rewards, but we can surely test that if it is so important, but we have already calculated the result. The line-reward is fair, you vote with the power you have instead of manipulating the system that way. We all want to see GOLOS become a giant player, but we will not get there hacking together some solutions on the current fork. There are fundamentals we must upgrade so that we have the best options on hand for a long term success instead of a short lived panic solution like OpenLedger etc. Steemit INC is not that far away from having completed their 24 month development plan, and after that we have a very robust system to build better things from. STEEM 19.2 is the one we are on now, it is awesome. STEEM 20 will allow GOLOS to be filled with people as they can mine their own accounts from the front page instead of having someone subsidize their accounts, and STEEM 21 should seal the deal with the SMT system ready for big volume trading compatible with segwit payment channels and of course advanced mobile applications and other goodies you will love to have access to.
And then you can take it from there and build a real GOLOS with your own killer-app on top of this majestic system - the worlds most advanced blockchain system.
