Digipharm is a new platform, unique in its kind, which aims to improve and simplify the healthcare system, using blockchain technologies for the convenience and safety of each user. This system should incentivize healthcare professionals to continuously improve and develop innovative drugs because the more they do that and provide value, the more they get rewarded.
Digipharm - a project that combines industry experience, a mature concept and revolutionary blockchain technology to help transform health into a value approach. The project is developing the next crypto currency, which will focus on the health sector and will be directed at its restructuring. The Insights platform
The Insights platform will extract anonymised patient level data from the Reimburse platform and electronic patient records to the world’s first ‘live’ real-world evidence (RWE) database, that is accessible by subscribed users at real time (Figure 5). Uniform and standardised inputs to smart contracts which are encapsulated within the Reimburse platform and the architecture of Digipharms’ bespoke integration solutions to health information systems promptly address
several of the limitations that are observed with conventional RWD collection and database generation, thus expediting the time to availability of consistent and ‘ready to use’ RWE outputs. Additional health related data such as genomic data will also be linked to the Insights platform in partnership with leading evidence providers in the industry, to create an unparalleled health data marketplace in preparation for a value-based, data-driven future of healthcare. The use
of cryptographically encrypted blockchain technology also eliminates all patient privacy and data security concerns that affect current RWE generation systems. There are no such ‘live’ RWE databases currently available.
Ecosystem
Participants in the Digipharm ecosystem include; patients, payers, manufacturers, providers. The patients could be incentivized to contribute their health-related data if they choose to. The payers are the insurance providers or government entities who reimburse manufacturers (pharmaceutical companies). The providers can be grouped under the term healthcare practitioners and they include hospital networks.
About DPH project tokens
The internal currency of the project will be the DPH token. With their help, users will be able to access the product and services of the platform. The amount to be paid for access will be indicated in dollars, and the total number of tokens that will be required for use will depend on the manufacturer, the patient, the payer.
