Three scientific theories that will make you think

The names of these theories are familiar to everyone, but not everyone has even a rough idea of what they are.
Today I would like to share interesting scientific theories that the best minds of mankind have worked on. Let's not waste time and get right to the point.

WORMHOLES
Imagine that you need to get to some point in space that is very far away from you. In fact, literally every point in the Universe is very far away, because with the current level of technology development, even a trip to the edge of the Solar system is a very long way. In this scenario, you really want to cut corners to arrive at your destination earlier. And that's where the idea of wormholes comes in.
As it turned out, Einstein's General theory of relativity allows for the existence of black holes that serve as bridges between different parts of the Universe or even an exit to another Universe.
Such a bridge has the form of a pipe connecting various points in space-time. And if you simplify space to a two-dimensional model and imagine it as an ordinary bent leaf, then a wormhole is an open tunnel, the shortest path between its halves.
Obviously, this method of moving is much more efficient and rational. Unfortunately, today wormholes remain a theoretical model that we have not yet encountered in reality.
Nevertheless, sometimes theoretical models are surprisingly good for fantasy, and the film "interstellar", in which wormholes are one of the main scientific concepts, is a perfect confirmation of this.

WHEN TIME HAS STOPPED
This is not the most popular theory, but it is still very interesting. Think about it, is there something infinite in the world? Probably, if you ask this question to a large number of people, the most popular answer is time. And really, one moment must be different from another, can't everything freeze in one moment-once and for all?
Let's assume that the existence of the Universe will last indefinitely. In this case, everything that can happen will happen. In fact, this assumption contradicts many calculations. Therefore, scientists have put forward the theory that time itself is finite and it will stop sometime.
Perhaps one day we ourselves will not feel or understand how the beginning of our "infinite" life, which has no meaning, will begin.

GAIA HYPOTHESIS
This hypothesis was formulated in the 1960s by scientist James Lovelock, who called the Earth a self-regulating organism. This does not mean that the Earth is really alive, it only consists of complex components that interact very successfully and skillfully.
According to Gaia's hypothesis, these interactions work so smoothly that they keep the Earth in the state necessary for life to survive.
The scientist James Lovelock himself proves the hypothesis at least by the facts that the temperature of the earth's surface remains very stable, despite the increase in the amount of solar radiation. He also noted the constant salinity of the ocean and the composition of the atmosphere, despite the facts that should have put them out of balance.

According to this hypothesis, the Earth is a giant superorganism.
This is all, I hope you were interested, please put a like if you learned something new ) . Wonderful mood 👌
