Belgorod (Russia) in Watercolor Exhibition.
An abstract from the interview of Alex Markovich for "Radio of Russia". July 2018.
On July 24, 2018 my personal exhibition "Belgorod in Watercolor" was opened in Belgorod Pushkin Library. All the paintings are presented in the format of postcards. Some of them at the end of the exhibition will be sent to various counties (USA, France, Italy, Australia, etc.).
Belgorod is my home town, I was born there.
There are over 40 postcards presented at the show. Most of the paintings were made at picturesque places of Belgorod Region at plein air painting sessions.
Speaking of places of Belgorod, these are not typical postcards views like the philharmonic, drama theater, central square, etc. I also try to find picturesque places to paint: rivers, yards, bridges, old houses which within a couple of years will be gone.
"Belgorod in Watercolor" exhibition will last till the end of August 2018, and then will be moved to one of the biggest cafes of Belgorod. I like when my exhibitions travel from place to place.
