7 Ways You Can Create a Steem/Steemit Account
I've been in the platform for over a month and I just love it. I love it too much, I am telling my dearest friends about it. I purposely made a post about my first payout to show people this is real as real can get. Now my friends are flocking into the platform and in the waiting phase when their accounts are going to be approved which could take days, weeks or a month or so, no one really knows the time frame for approval. I was curious, how and where else can we make an account in Steemit? I found 7 ways how. I am not sure if someone has blogged about this already in one post, I tried searching but it did not come up with anything. But I did see blogs about each way, separately.
Without further ado, let's discuss each of the places in the interwebs where you can make a Steem/Steemit account. Please note that I have highlighted the URLs and some necessary info on the pages to guide you where to go about with the signup, it's pretty much self-explanatory beyond these pages. If you would need more info on how to go about each process, I have linked the resources where you can read more about them in detail.
1. The Steemit Website Signup

2. Blocktrades Buy Steem Account Feature

Charge: 6 Steem as of this writing but there are a numer cryptocurrencies you can use to buy this service, here is a list of them: Bitshares, Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Dash, Dogecoin, Ether, Litecoin, and Steem Dollar

There are 2 more ways you can create an account but it is not for the non-tech savvy, these 2 involves programming and resources not available to a regular user.
Blockchain API
I am not familiar with it but I have read about it in @timcliff's post and let me quote what he said about it...

For anyone who knows how to use the blockchain API with tools like cli_wallet, they are able to create new accounts for themselves and friends. This is pretty much restricted to the 'techie nerds' though. The vast majority of users are not able to use this option.

PoW Mining
This is also something I am not familiar with but I have read about it in @primus post and let me quote what he said on that blog...
The most secure and anonymous way of new users’ registration in STEEM. I will not get into detail on how to do STEEM mining – there is a lot of topics about mining. The main thing is that you can set up mining using the account that doesn’t exists. After PoW block is being found and approved - your account will be registered in network.
This is completely anonymous. New user will not be linked to any other account. This is absolutely secure – you generate the access keys yourself and no one ever touches them.
The slight negative side lies in the fact that you will have only 1 STEEM on balance. This is enough to submit posts and comment but this is not enough for voting. Post curation will be not available until you collect more Steem Power.
I have compiled all these 7 ways to present to everyone that there are many ways for you to create accounts for your friends and family or for yourself if you have a lot of projects and services that you want to run in the platform. As we all know, the free option takes some time now, so we can look into the other options provided by some providers but please do take note about the pros and cons of these services if there are any. For any issues with the accounts and account recovery, you must get in touch with these parties to assist you with it. Read about the services on the resources I have provided and feel free to contact the service providers directly for more information. I am in no way affiliated with any of them. I just made this list with the intent to inform fellow Steemians about the many ways we can create Steem accounts. Also note that, Steemit is fastly improving and many developers are working on a lot of projects and maybe in the future this list will be outdated with new things.
Please promote Steemit to your family and friends, you have all these options to give them accounts instantly or anonymously if they please. As a reminder, always be careful with your keys. Save the password provided for the newly created account and keep a copy of it offline. Be careful who you trust with your Private Keys, make sure you trust the apps and websites you put them into. And once you have your people on board, you may refer them to the Steem FAQ and Steem Tools website below to get them started.
