MY WORST AIRPORT EXPERIENCE

Hi everyone, I sure hope you are doing great :), I would like to share with you my bizarre experience at the airport.

A few years ago, I was close to rounding up my college education at that period, so during one of my visit at my parent's home, my mum told me that, my aunt would be flying in from Italy the next day, and she would like us both to go pick her up at the airport. Of a truth unlike every other time, I was really hesitant to go along with her, but she insisted and pleaded, so I agreed to go along with her.

The next day, I, my mum and a friend of mine who I invited, also tagged along, then we all drove to the airport.
When we arrived, we waited outside alongside many other people doing same and facing the arrival exit channel, and it turned out her flight was delayed.

Shortly after an hour of waiting while it was evening, I suddenly heard a gunshot, and knowing it was just a shot, I ignored. A few minutes later the shot continued immensely, and before long, people scattered out of panic, at first, I laid on the ground to avoid a stray bullet, then I realized people around me, like my mum, friend and other people out there, ran away, I had to follow suit. People began running into the arrival tunnel, I wasn't sure who was firing these shots, but it soon ran out of hand, I then joined a group of people running into the arrival tunnel, and before I ran in, the person right in front of me was hit by a bullet on his leg, he fell immediately, seeing this I jumped over him and into the tunnel, I was so scared, never seen someone shot before, and in front of me, all I could say was thank God I wasn't hit by the bullet, even those whose plane had already landed and were heading out before this incident, left their baggage and fled in sort for safety, indeed it was a really crazy experience.

So When I got inside, I ran deep inside the luggage retrieval bay, I then realized that my aunt's flight already landed, and the passengers, on hearing the gunshots, all ran back into the plane.
After about half an hour, the gunshots had stopped, then after a while, I found my mum, aunt who just arrived and my friend who tagged along to the airport, they were all looking really frightened and still in shock of the incidents, knowing it was safe at that time, we had to rush home quickly as soon as we could.

We later heard in the news that, a group of armed robbers stormed the airport to attack those people who are in charge of changing foreign currency to local currency, and also attacked some other people, and their ammunition were more sophisticated than the airport's guards armor. And since after that incident the airport security became tighter to avoid such bizarre re-occurrence.
