Humble additions

A humble addition indeed, about a week ago I shared my first precious metal purchase, it was a 10 Oz silver bullion bar well I really wanted a coin as well So i ended up getting something that was not too expensive and also as close to spot price as possible.

Well I found this coin fit my criteria, The 2019 fine silver maple leaves coin, I paid 34.95$ CAD for this half Oz coin but what I find interesting is that the coin is actually more than what its supposed to be, a half Oz = 14 grams but on the royal mint website its 15.87 grams, hey I don't mind if its over what it supposed to be,
I had a look at the mints website and I tend to see this pattern across the board, even with gold ! I suppose you are already paying well over spot and I think the over weight is due to the design they don't go out their way to try and squeeze in the design into the set weight as the customers not going to mind getting more precious metals than advertised.

I took a bunch of pictures and even took out the coin which is probably not the best thing to do but I honestly not looking to sell the coin so Its all good if I get my greasy paws all over the coin. My only issue is that its a bit small I really want a big coin I actually ended up ordering a 2 Oz coin, That will be my last one for a while as I want a way bigger one the mint offers kilogram coins starting at around 2300$ CAD their biggest coin is a 5 Kg for 10,700$ CAD ! I can get a 100 Oz silver bullion bar for less than a price of Kg coin and as I mentioned before I am really looking to make some coins for my own so If i can get a 100 Oz bar I can make a really large coin/coins out it it
